Teaching

♦ Beginning piano method. (Young beginners)
We employ an adaptation of the distinctive piano program for Children developed by Prof. Hanna Li for the Carnegie Mellon Preparatory School of Music, which has been employed for over 20 years and proven to be an effective method for young beginners.

Early lessons are built around the MUSIC TREE method book series, which is developed by the icon of American piano pedagogy, Frances Clark.

General piano lessons.
We aim for a refined identification of student’s potential and weaknesses, in order to devise a tailored set of exercises and music for gradual but steady forward progress. For students of lesser motivation, lessons and homework are designed into smaller unit with clear achievable objectives to encourage success. We recommend examinations and competitions to be used as tools of motivation and to be employed when it is shown to be a beneficial event.
